Calvin Harris Teams Up With Katy Perry, Pharrell & Big Sean On “Feels”

Witness only dropped on Friday (June 9), but fans won’t have to wait too long to hear new music from Katy Perry. It seems the pop star features on an upcoming collaboration with Calvin Harris called “Feels.” The purported cover of the track, which also boasts verses from Pharrell Williams and Big Sean, surfaced online today and the Scottish DJ later shared a very brief snippet in a sampler of his new LP, Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1. (You can pre-order it here). Of course, the club king famously dated Taylor Swift. Which could make this the next chapter in their ongoing beef.

As for Calvin, “Feels” could be the fourth of 10 singles he plans to release in 2017. He has already rolled out “Rollin,” which features Future and Khalid and “Heatstroke.” The latter included input from Young Thug, Pharrell and Ariana Grande. The first and most successful cut was “Slide.” That track showcased the talents of Frank Ocean and Migos, and is shaping up to be something of a sleeper hit. The blurry-eyed party jam is still climbing the Billboard Hot 100 and has racked up a whopping 238 million Spotify streams.

Detroit producer/DJ Moodymann has built his career on his eclectic performances, particularly when it comes to song selections.

This was again proven during his recent set at London’s Field Day festival when he blended Come Together by The Beatles with Future’s Mask Off. Who’d would even think of that?

This absolutely absurd yet beautiful fusion of tracks is, in my opinion, the sheer definition of Moodymann’s finesse on the wheels of steel; and even though they don’t seem to go that well together – excuse the pun – as stand alone songs, he somehow makes it work. Master level reached.

This footage has surfaced following a huge outcry of frustration from punters when he played Sex on Fire by Kings Of Leon in the same set. I guess a point of advice to those people is do not assume what kind of set you’re going to get from Moodymann!

Iggy Azalea had a rough week with a very public disagreement with her record label and the bulk of Digital Distortion leaking, but the rapper finally has a reason to smile. “Switch” just cracked the top 50 at pop radio and she delivered a show-stealing performance at the MTV Millennial Awards in Mexico last night (June 3). The Aussie hitmaker performed a medley of her rising hit (strangely, without Anitta) and “Mo Bounce.” She began with the latter, twerking on top of a pink car. The 26-year-old then showed off a little choreography and generally sizzled on stage.

The “Team” diva clearly had fun and raved about the experience on Snapchat afterwards. Not only did she get to perform without the fear of being crucified online, Iggy also got to hang out with Colombian heartthrob Maluma and catch up with Anitta, who was only there to present an award. But don’t worry. They will be performing the song together soon. In a pink carpet interview, the rapper revealed that she’s heading to Brazil to promote the rising hit with her collaborator.
